Marrakech is a municipality in the south of Morocco with more than 900.000 inhabitants. It is the first touristic destination in the country, thanks to the richness of it's historical and cultural patrimony, a vast amount of hotels (25% of the total capacity of the country), the fact of being close to an efficient airport (Menara airport ranked best touristic airport of the country), and national and international events organized all year.

The municipality is currently considering the use of new technologies, particularly in the field of energy efficiency, public transport and others.
