Hub cities

Guarulhos is located in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo and is strategically between the two major highways of the country, highway Pres. Dutra (SP - RJ) and Fernao Dias (SP - MG). Its population was estimated in 2015 at about one million and three hundred thousand inhabitants, and almost all of that population lives in urban areas. 

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Guarulhos in 2013 reached R$ 49.4 billion mark, standing in 13th place in the national ranking, occupying the 3rd place in Industrial Added Value and 5th in services, which shows the economic profile of the city.
