Chefchaouen is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the chief town of the province of the same name, and is noted for its buildings in shades of blue.Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471
Up to this day, the city managed to keep its traditional character, despite the geographical proximity and influence of cities such as Tanger or Tétouan.
Nowadays, the city calls for collective intelligence to do the best strategic choices to join the international arena, be it with its culinar art, its handicraft or its atypical architecture.
As a city committed to its citizens, Chefchaouen, city of 50000 inhabitants, is located in the Tanger Tetouan region, in the heart of the Rif.
