Hub cities

The IMUTC is the governing body of urban development in the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. Plans in coordination with the rest of the public and private actors with competence in urban management, and guarantees the active and protagonist participation of the inhabitants of the capital city; Monitoring, control and evaluation of urban policies, programs and projects.

IMUTC also advises, participates and develops studies, projects, plans and policies for urban development and related matters; Elaborates and proposes draft Ordinances relating to territorial and urban planning.

The Institute collects, organizes, updates and systematizes permanently regulatory, normative, diagnostic and propositive information related to the urban and urban issues of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.

The IMUTC promotes the emerging knowledge on Sustainable Development of cities with their presence and participation in local, metropolitan, national and international events.
