Malaga City Solutions - Trends in municipal innovation to achieve SDGs, 1 October 2019


T

he City of Malaga will host the second edition of the City Solutions Series on 1st and 2nd October 2019. The event untitled "Trends in municipal innovation to achieve SDGs" will focus on concrete experiences implemented by the city of Malaga and other world cities to make Agenda 2030 a reality at local level. It will provide an in-depth analysis of local actions, identifying elements of success and failure about how cities are able to innovate in municipal management and finance.

Uraía members willing to present their experiences are welcome to present key trends of how an inspiring practice has improved quality of life of citizens through the use of SMART technologies. 

The proposed themes for this edition of Malaga City Solutions are: 

  1. Innovation in water provision, water savings and sanitation, including environmental impact of water management in the city
  2. Mobility and transportation, including energy savings from public transport, inter-connectivity of mass transport and service satisfaction from users.
  3. Sustainable energy generation and sustainable energy use, smart grids, etc.
  4. Waste management, including connections between waste disposal and energy generation. 

We are looking for cities who want to present their experience in city innovation.
