raía participated at the Smart City Expo Puebla 2016 to present the Platform’s activities and talk about innovation and municipal finances. The event took place at the city of Puebla, Mexico, on the 16-18th of February. Under the motto “Urban Innovation Towards Equitable Cities in Latin America”, the event wants to become a reference and foster a sustainable and equitable urban management for the development of cities in Mexico and Latin America. Mariana Nascimento, Coordinator of the Uraía Platform was invited to speak at the “New Funding Tools” session alongside with representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank and the State of Jalisco (Mexico). She presented SMART City Solutions on how Municipalities can use SMART technologies to increase municipal revenue or decrease costs.
