Uraía participated by co-organizing with the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN)  a training event on “Leveraging Land: Land-based Finance for Sustainable and Equitable Cities and Metropolises”.

The session was an opportunity to present the new training package for land-based finance for local governments developed by UN-Habitat and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN). This interactive session will demonstrate the importance and enormous potential of improved land-based financing as well as  introduce the package’s content and training methods. Land-based revenue and finance are important tools for stable financial frameworks and sustainable urban development at the local level. In addition to supporting local expenditure, they also contribute to creating a healthy investment environment through promoting adequate infrastructure, equitable service delivery and efficient governance.
